Heartstone Homeopathy and Heilkunst of Midcoast Maine will soon be offering Holistic Speech and Language Therapy and Consultation Services.  I have over 40 years experience working with children and adolescents in the public school setting. Over this time, I have gained a clear understanding of the physical, mental and social/emotional stages in health, along with my very personal journey/experience supporting our vaccine injured son. Although there are times when direct speech and language services are indicated, I have observed that the IEP goals can often easily be incorporated into a child's natural environment. I believe in a holistic approach to speech and language therapeutic intervention. Holistic takes into account the whole child or person, not just their speech output or language skills, but the why they are having these difficulties which is often overlooked when planning speech and language therapy.
